Candle Care Guide

With the correct love & care, your Coastal Melts luxury candle will give you days, weeks & even months indulging in your  favourite fine fragranced scents. We hope you enjoy many moments of it’s uniquely hand blended, fine fragranced style & sophistication in your home.

To enjoy your luxury candle in the most optimum way please read & follow the directions below:

  • Please ensure that when you light your Coastal Melts luxury candle for the first time, that you allow it to burn for at least 3 hours, or until the scented wax has melted to the very ends of your luxury vessel. This full burn pool will ensure your luxury candle burns evenly down the vessel & provides you & your home with beautiful fragrance for as long as possible.
  • Always trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn of your candle. Coastal Melts luxury candles have been designed with short wicks to help eliminate carbon build up & smoking flames. This will help to prolong the life of your highly perfumed luxury candle & will prevent a black rim appearing at the top of your vessel.
  • Your luxury vessel may become hot so please handle with care.
  • Avoid burning in areas where there may be a draft.
  • Keep your burning luxury candle away from children & pets.
  • Never leave your burning Coastal Melts luxury candle unattended.
  • Extinguish your luxury candle before sleeping or leaving a room.
  • There is a risk of your luxury vessel overheating, discolouring or exploding as with all container candles. Therefore, never leave your burning Coastal Melts candle unattended or let it burn for more than 3 hours at a time.
  • Do not place near flammable objects such as curtains, walls, bedding, papers, etc.
  • Make sure your Coastal Melts luxury candle is placed on a stable, heat resistant level surface.
  • Extinguish your luxury candle if the flame becomes too high or if it flickers repeatedly. Allow to cool & trim the wick as advised.
  • Do not allow your Coastal Melts luxury candle to burn all the way down to the bottom of it’s vessel & discontinue using your candle when about 1/2 inch of wax remains. This will avoid overheating & possible breakage.
  • Ensure no foreign object or fallen parts of wick are left in the wax.
